Useful resources for organisations
Every person sent to prison is in some way part of family. Being in prison is not only a difficult time for the person sent to prison, but also for children, family and friends.
Separation brings with it a number of issues for families that can tax them emotionally, spiritually and economically and are often overwhelming.
The following links will inform and educate you on the issues for children of prisoners and their families. We hope this facilitates a better understanding of the need for organisations to provide effective interventions.
We have done our best to source the best international links available. Therefore, language and some processes do not apply to the New Zealand environment.
Although all links from this site are tested for their quality and relevance, responsibility for content on these sites lies entirely with the site's creators. All efforts have been made to ensure that images, sounds and text used within our site have been done so with appropriate permission.
